Auditions for Cat On A Hot Tin Roof, January 30-31

Directed by Antoni Sadlak, auditions for Cat on a Hot Tin Roof, will be held at Cheney Hall on January 30 and 31 for the characters of: Brick - early 30s, Maggie - 25-30, Big Daddy - 60ish, Big Mama - late 50s, Mae - mid-late 30s, Goober - 40ish, Rev. Tooker - 30-65, Dr. Baugh - 60s, Dixie - 6-9 years, and Buster, Sonny, Trixie - ranging from 4-8, who should be prepared to sing a song.

Tennessee Williams classic, Cat on a Hot Tin Roof, is one of his best-known works. The play won the Pulitzer Prize for Drama in 1955. Set in "the bed-sitting room of a plantation home on the Mississippi Delta" of Big Daddy Pollitt , the play examines the relationships among members of Big Daddy's family, primarily between his son Brick, and Brick's wife, Maggie, the "Cat".

The play will be produced in April, for three weekends, beginning April 13.

Auditions begin at 7 p.m. and those who audition are asked to bring a head shot and resume if available, and be prepared to read from the script. For more information, call the box office at 860-647-9824.
