Rascal Rep actress takes the stage during 2007’s High School Musical

Rascal Rep, Little Theatre of Manchester’s summer program for young people is accepting applications for 2008.

Young people, ages 8 – 12 years, may register for the five-week day camp which is run at Cheney Hall from June 23rd through July 26th.  The program will culminate with a production of “Seussical the Musical” on July 27th and 28th.

Directed for the fifth year by Meghan Ramsdell Piedmont, “campers” begin the day at 9 a.m., take a lunch break with the Manchester Recreation Department, and then continue their theatrical education in the afternoon until 3 p.m.  Students learn about acting, dancing, choreography, singing, plays, production and scriptwriting.  Past musicals produced include “High School Musical”, “Annie”, “Bugsy Malone”, and “Guys and Dolls”.

Support for the program comes from the George and Grace Long Foundation, the Elisabeth Carse Foundation, the Joseph Stackpole Charitable Trust, and the New Alliance Foundation.

The fee for the five weeks is $300.00 per camper, which is non-refundable and on a first-come, first-served basis.  Registration deadline is  May 1st through the Little Theatre of Manchester offices at 177 Hartford Road, Manchester.  Registration forms and further information can be obtained by calling the LTM office at 647-9824.
