Evenings@7 and other Play Readings:
Saturday, December 20 - As we approach the holiday season, many parents will be asked the question “Is there a Santa Claus?” We will answer that through a reading of Andrew J. Fenady’s play Yes Virginia There Is a Santa Claus.
Please bring your family to join us on Saturday, December 20th at 2:00 pm as we hear the answer to the age-old question.
Admission is $5. Children ages 8 - 12 are free. Children are encouraged to bring with them their favorite hand-held gift from Santa, and to bring a non-perishable food item we'll collect for MACC Charities food pantry.
(Recommended for 8 years and older, all children must be accompanied by an adult). A wonderful afternoon to enjoy the holiday spirit!
LTM Lunchtime Lectures
For the third year, our resident theater expert, David Garnes will moderate five lectures preceding each of our main stage productions.
The dates for these are circled on the calendar below and, with the exception of one (1/14) whose date has changed, begin at noon at Cheney Hall.
The changed date is the Lecture scheduled for Wednesday, January 14th. In conjunction with the Mark Twain House and Museum, we will celebrate the first major production in Connecticut, of Mark Twain's play, Is He Dead? with a lecture on a date to be announced at the Mark Twain House and Museum, and a similar Lecture on Thursday, January 29th at noon at Cheney Hall. For the Cheney Hall Lecture only, feel free to bring your lunch, as always.
These two special lectures will feature Garnes, and also MTH&M Director of Communications and Special Events, Jacques Lamarre - a well-known local playwright and theater critic.
