THE LITTLE THEATRE OF MANCHESTER RECEIVES GRANT FROM HARTFORD FOUNDATION

The Little Theatre of Manchester (LTM) is pleased to announce it has received a grant of $90,000 over three years from the Hartford Foundation for Public Giving. These funds will support a new program that will provide access to performance space for smaller, diverse local arts and cultural organizations in Greater Hartford.

For many arts and cultural organizations without a performance home, finding an appropriate venue that offers affordable rental rates can be a significant challenge. This new program will provide free access to the historic Cheney Hall’s 300-seat auditorium and stage where these organizations may present their work to the public. In addition, LTM will offer theatrical staff, box office and ticketing services, and marketing support—provided at no cost to the organizations.

“We are thrilled to offer this program,” said LTM’s Executive Director Dwayne Harris. “Our goal is to leverage free venue access with our expertise in the field to bolster Greater Hartford’s diverse arts and cultural talent. We hope to amplify the richness of arts and cultural offerings in this area.”

Arts and cultural organizations interested in learning more about the program should contact Dwayne Harris at dharris@cheneyhall.org.
