Little Theatre of Manchester Announces Auditions for PLAZA SUITE
Audition Dates: Sunday, May 25, and Monday, May 25, at 6:30 pm.
Callbacks (as needed): Thursday, May 29
Audition Location: Cheney Hall, 177 Hartford Rd., Manchester, CT.
Prepare: Those auditioning will be asked to cold read selections from the script.
Video Auditions: Actors who cannot attend auditions may submit a self-tape by Monday, May 25.

The Little Theatre of Manchester seeks a diverse and multi-racial cast for an August production of Neil Simon’s PLAZA SUITE. Auditions are Sunday and Monday, May 25th and 26th, at 6:30 pm, with callbacks on Thursday, May 29th, as needed. Auditions will occur at Cheney Hall, 177 Hartford Rd, Manchester, CT. All roles are open. Those auditioning will be asked to cold read selections from the script. The production will run from August 1 – 17 and is directed by Nick Rapuano. Actors who cannot attend auditions may submit a self-tape by Monday, May 25. Tapes and questions should be directed to the director at Nicholas.Rapuano@gmail.com. VISITOR FROM MAMARONEK
Karen Nash - (40s-50ish years old.) Pleasant, witty, and down to earth. She is OK with being middle-aged. She also secretly hopes the stay at the Plaza will bring her and her husband closer together. Must be able to convey a balance of sarcasm and drama.
Sam Nash - (40s-50ish years old.) Not accepting his age. He is neat and well-tailored. He is overly concerned with his appearance. Sam is a workaholic, but not because he likes work.
VISITOR FROM HOLLYWOOD
Jesse Kiplinger - (30s-40ish) Confident, successful Hollywood producer. He has one purpose in seeing Muriel. This role includes intimacy coordination. This role also appears as the Bellhop and Borden.
Muriel Tate - (30s-40ish years old.) She is somewhat naive. She is warm, generous, and very impressed with Jesse, though unsure of meeting with him. This role includes intimacy coordination. This role also appears as Jean and Mimsey.
VISITOR FROM FOREST HILLS
Norma Hubley - 50ish. Mother of the bride who tries to appear calm in a crisis. She sways from trying to keep her Type-A husband in control while passively and aggressively taking a stand for herself. This character has sequences of physical/farce comedy.
Roy Hubley - 50ish. Father of the bride with the bills to prove it. A competitive businessman, out of his league when dealing with emotions and marrying off his daughter. This character has sequences of physical/farce comedy. * This role also appears as the Waiter.
